EAP advisory committees are dedicated groups that support the mental health and well-being of USPS employees. These committees work together to promote awareness and utilization of EAP services. By fostering open communication and collaboration, advisory committees play a key role in ensuring the EAP remains a valuable resource for employee support and resilience.

The National Joint Committee (NJC)

The NJC is involved with the EAP and works to ensure that USPS management implements safe working conditions and policies. This group monitors, evaluates, implements, and reviews programs and activities that affect postal employees’ health and safety.

NJC Members

The NJC is a labor-management committee that includes the United States Postal Service (USPS), the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), the American Postal Workers Union (APWU), and the National Postal Mail Handlers Union (NPMHU).

District Advisory Committees

To ensure the EAP remains responsive to employee needs and supports a healthier, more productive workplace, District Advisory Committees (DACs) actively meet to address district-specific EAP needs. These committees play a key role in promoting the program, evaluating its effectiveness, providing feedback, addressing organizational issues, and shaping program content and delivery to best serve their districts.

Joint Committees EAPs (JCEAPs)

USPS Joint Committees on Employee Assistance Programs (JCEAPs) are collaborative partnerships designed to support the well-being of USPS employees. JCEAPs focus on increasing awareness of EAP services, addressing workplace issues that may impact employee mental health, and shaping programs to reflect local and national concerns. Through shared responsibility, JCEAPs help create a healthier, more supportive postal workplace.
